Dubai Again – Desert Safari and Popular Tourist Spots
City Tour of Dubai
Dubai is more than just a shopping destination. Tour of Dubai caters to all types of tourists who visit this fascinating place. Dubai not only will provide an adrenaline rush to the adventure junkie but is the perfect destination for a family holiday.
As we stepped foot into this gigantic Dubai airport I knew this city has lots to offer. The cab ride to the hotel was an amazing one. The fun had just begun while zipping through downtown with tall glass skyscrapers that almost seem to touch the clouds.
We had our itinerary in place for an action-packed four days, first preference was definitely Dubai Mall Hopping in the tour of Dubai. But nonetheless, we covered all the famous tourist with enough time to relax, unwind and take a dip in the hotel pool.
- Dubai Musical Fountain
The Dubai Musical Fountain is situated in the same vicinity of Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. In fact, this tallest building in the world acts as the perfect backdrop for this enchanting musical fountain. You just cannot get enough of this most beautiful fountain show. It happens every half hour so if you catch it in between don’t worry, you can catch the next one.
The colourful flow of water dancing rhythmically to popular Bollywood, Hollywood and Arabic numbers. The slow Arabic tune just made me dance along without any inhibitions. You can get a view of this spectacular show from different places. On restaurant terraces too as they allow you to watch it free without buying anything.
- Desert Safari
This was the most outstanding attraction in the tour of Dubai. Early evening we were driven down to the exerts of Dubai. You can see the sand dunes at a distance with jeeps been driven in all directions. They look as if they will topple any minute. Quite scary at first.
The adrenaline rush is beyond compare. The whole tour is really worth it. The motorists were professionals and the entire bumpy crazy drive on the dunes is a once in a lifetime experience.
- Belly Dance/ Dinner
But there was still more excitement in this day. We were driven down to a Bedouin-style desert camp nestled in the heart of the dunes. Here we were in for some belly dancing and dinner.
I especially enjoyed watching the ‘tanoura’ dancer spin round and round with his special gear to rhythmic Arabian music. But the most memorable part was getting a picture with the Falcon comfortably sitting on my wrist.
- Dhow Cruise
We took a night trip down the Creek on one of the Cruise ships. Popularly known as Dhou Cruise its a hit with the locals too who wish to spend quality time with their families. The ambience is pretty with twinkling lights and mood is perfect to enjoy dinner and good music together.
- Jumera beach
It was the first place where we went in our City Tour of Dubai. It was a nice clean beach with plenty of water sports activities happening there in spite of the hot sunny weather. The Burj Al Arab Hotel is a pretty sight and is clearly visible from the beach.
This hotel is famous for its unique shape and is a significant landmark of Dubai. After a short dip in the sea, we headed back to our cab.
- Atlantis
We did get time to visit the promenade and view the Atlantis from a distance. I have heard so much about this premium property. Some bloggers even vouch that it is the best Hotel in the World. Located on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah Island, this 5-star Atlantis offers stunning views of the Arabian Gulf.
It provides an underwater aquarium, swimming with dolphins opportunities and complimentary access to the Aquaventure water park and the Lost Chambers Aquarium. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property.
- Gold Souk
Dubai Gold Souk or Gold Souk, is a traditional market in Dubai, UAE. The Gold will dazzle you. In fact, there is Gold, Gold & Gold everywhere in Deira Gold Souk. Get set to be amazed and entertained with this yellow metal.
You will get the biggest selection of gold jewellery and gemstones crafted in a variety of carats. The souk consists of over 379 retailers, most of whom are jewellery trader. Old Souk and Spice market is also close by in the same area.
Made some beautiful memories in Dubai but I would definitely like to go back to make some more. On the brighter side, Dubai is just two hours away from Mumbai.

There is no doubt that Dubai is so much more than a shopping destination as you have covered so well here. My favourite of all you have highlighted would have to be the desert safari followed by the dinner and show at the camp. What an experience and I love the photo of you with the falcon!

I’m in the UAE for almost 4 years now yet I never tried the desert safari. And watching the Dancing Fountain at the 124th floor of Burj Khalifa is incredible! Try it on your next visit 🙂
