Fab Friday at Bandra West Restaurants

I was looking forward to going to this place as I had never been there before. I  arrived promptly at 8 PM and was courteously guided to the table reserved for us. This place is just above Only Parathas, situated on Linking Road, Bandra. The look and feel of this place were like any Restobar or lounge. The air conditioning was powerful and not so loud music playing got conversations interesting. There’s also a  beautifully done up bar with good lighting and comfortable bar stools that do not hurt your ass. They bar was centralized and the rest of the place had large 6 seater tables with old fashioned sofas. The outdoor seating on the balcony was pretty neat and inviting. It could be made more magical with fairy lights and quaint artifacts that add more character to the place.

We all greeted and exchanged note, I met some wonderful bloggers for the first time. The bar is well stocked and has a lot of things to offer, cocktails, mocktails, beer, and other spirits. Our drink order was taken and the service was very prompt. I ordered for the Get Gorgeous Cocktail which was Vodka based. It was very refreshing and cool. A must try if you like your drinks infused with fruits. Most of the cocktails are ranging from INR 300 to INR 400 and the Mocktails at a steal price of INR 250/.

The menu

The menu is nice and the variety offered is decent as well. It’s very pocket-friendly too. You can check the portion size, an owner is a large-hearted person for sure. Haa Haa!! Coming to the food, we ordered some starters and finger food.

1. Veg Bruschettas ( INR 250/-) to begin with followed by Fish Pattaya and stuffed Mushroom masala (INR 300/-). The Veg Bruschetta was crispy and filling, a special mention to the Fish Pattaya.It was the ‘ DISH OF THE EVENING’ for me. The mushrooms were soft and mushy, well spiced but not my personal favourite. I let the vegetarians have more of it.

 

2. Fish fingers( RS 375/-) were crispy from outside and soft from whiten.

3. Vegetarians delight was the Corn and cheese croquet ( RS 280/-) I particularly loved the sauce served along with the fingers, wished there was more of it.

4. The chicken Kali Miri was a little dry but went well with the mint sauce and I loved that burnt smokey flavour it had. One the whole the food was well spiced and delicious, well suited for the Indian palate. Each dish was garnished with care and served piping hot.

* Boring furniture and walls.( This is going to undergo change I heard from the head person there)
* Music- Some ‘London Thumakda’ and Hindi Bollywood numbers after a few cocktails is appreciated coz we are all Desi Girls.
